Achtung: Winter Degenerates

Pretty much everything I wear at the moment looks like a cross between pyjamas and clothes. A sort of an interstitial twilight zone where one's sartorial choices are dictated by the weather. No longer are there crisp distinctions. Multi-duvet dilirium spills out onto the streets. No longer are pyjama-suited homies in the supermarket cornering the niche for daytime / nighttime liminal chic. no longer is flannel the grunge-conscious hipster's choice, rather a creeping disease of necessity blurring the boundaries of "dressed". This post was going to be about me, but a much larger concern has come to my attention: that of the slippery slope that leads to abominations such as the snuggle blanket. This disgusting example of consumptive catatonia tells me the slur of sluggish dressing is not okay. The line needs to be drawn between dressed and not dressed. Here's why:

And this is a small selection, excluding variations for men, babies, children and pets. Please, I implore you. Let us remain in light. Eschew the shady dealings of twilight dressing in favour of smart suits and sexy lingerie. And if you must, casual clothing, not snuggle blankets. In these coming months, as a very recently reformed twilight dresser, I must ask you to keep me accountable. It will be cold, comfort will be calling but let us do as Gossip Girls' Taylor Momson:
